Skagit Fisheries is seeking volunteers to help with watering at our native plant nursery this summer! From February to April, over 4,000 plants were potted by volunteers and AmeriCorps members. These plants will spend their summer in our nursery before going to restoration sites this coming fall. If you have a passion for gardening or caring for plants in general, we would love your help! We are asking for a commitment of one day a week, for only 1-2 hours, from July to September in hopes of providing the plants with adequate water during the hot summer months. Please fill out this interest form to indicate interest and reach out to cgarrod@skagitfisheries.org if you have any questions!

Do you have experience in identifying Washington native trees and shrubs, or are looking for the opportunity to add identification as a skill? This summer, SFEG is looking for volunteers to participate in vegetation monitoring surveys on past and present restoration sites. These surveys consist of data collection and site stewardship to help improve the success of riparian restoration in Skagit Valley.

This workshop will be training for anyone wanting to help out with our monitoring this summer! Please be at our Native Plant Nursery (21109 Kelleher Rd, Burlington) at 9am for the first portion of the workshop, we will travel to Riverfront Park in Sedro-Woolley later in the day for the other portion.
