This page is a cgroupollaboration between Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group and Mount Vernon Parks and Recreation.

Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group began working at Edgewater Park in 2013, with an Earth Day event which helped to restore native vegetation to areas overgrown with Japanese Knotweed, English Ivy, and Himalayan Blackberry. Today, more than 4000 native plants have been introduced back to Edgewater Park through the help of hundreds of volunteers.

Funding for restoration work at Edgewater Park has come from the Fish America Foundation.

Community members continue to play an important role in the health of Edgewater Park and the Skagit River. Thank you for your service!
