Bowman Bay Weeding Party

August 31, 2016 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The Earth Day planting event at Bowman Bay in Deception Pass State Park on Saturday April 23, 2016 was a HUGE success. 200 volunteers planted hundreds of trees, shrubs, and native beach grasses! There was an extremely impressive effort thanks to our volunteers.  Now that we have planted all these native plant species, we need to maintain a good habitat for them to grow. SFEG will be hosting a weeding party on Wednesday, August 31, 10am-1pm to help give the new plants a boost.

Join us at this beautiful site to help pull weeds and learn about some native beach plants. Our Riparian Restoration Coordinator, Rachael, will be on site at Bowman Bay from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm. You can also click here to check out our calendar for all our events.
