Children’s Museum Celebrates River Awareness Month This October, the Children’s Museum of Skagit County will be invaded by salmon, bears, eagles and otters. SFEG will sponsor a month of programs and activities featuring river-related critters. Bring your little ones to enjoy programs presented by North Cascades National Park, People for Puget Sound, Swinomish Tribe, Komo Kulshan Outdoor School, and SFEG. Kids can learn all about salmon and other animals that live in and near the river, and how they can help keep our local rivers clean and healthy. October 11 is Community Free Day, but river-related activities will occur throughout the month. More information is available at (360) 419-7474 or http://skagitchildrensmuseum.org. SFEG will hold a “Members Only” night at the Children’s Museum in mid-October, so be sure to update your membership by October 1, 2005.
