Stream Stewards

The Stream Stewards workshop series is designed to create a core of informed and enthusiastic residents for our local watersheds, to engage in long-term stewardship as keepers of their streams.  Participants attend one monthly meeting and one monthly field trip, to learn about their local stream, the wildlife connected to it, and ways they can get directly involved in keeping their stream healthy.  In the words of Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife Director Jeff Koenings, “Salmon recovery will only succeed through the actions of local citizens in their watersheds.”
